A warm welcome to all competitors, their friends, families and clubs to the fourth round of this year’s National Youth Circuit Series Races, held at the Hillingdon Cycle Circuit; and hosted by Hillingdon Slipstreamers Cycling Club. We hope you all have a wonderful day and go home with fond memories of your cycling experience. Welcome also to our BC Commissaires – your time and experience is greatly valued and we hope you have a trouble free day.
At Slipstreamers we strive to ensure that all your needs are catered for, that the day runs smoothly and we go that extra mile to make you smile. To that end, we have trophies and prize money for both boys and girls in ALL age categories, even if mixed racing occurs in the younger age groups. We have a range of catering supplies and music to add to the occasion. There will also be various stands for you to explore. Do have a look around when you arrive.
Please take time to read all the information set out in your programme [click here to download a PDF in advance], and for good measure do keep an eye on our website News Hub and our Twitter feed for the latest updates. It should help all of us to be as prepared as we can be.
It would be wonderful to hear from you after the racing to know what sort of experience you have had and let us know your special moment, whether that was on the racing circuit or perhaps just enjoying the atmosphere. If you have any good photos of the day, or would like to write us a report of your day, do please send this in to us via the Contact Us page. We will gladly post these and your comments our website, so do please let us know your name and which club you are from. Even if it’s something you think we can improve on we would love to know so we can get it right next time!
Finally, it’s impossible to put on an event of this magnitude without the help and support of a LOT of volunteers. We have named some in our programme, but I would like to take this opportunity now to thank ALL those who have taken any time out to help make the day the best we can. We arrive early and leave late. Weeks of planning and organising have gone into one day. We try to remember every detail required. We do all this to help young riders experience the best of National racing. Please remember this and appreciate the work that has gone in to making this day happen.
There is an increase in numbers racing this year so keep safe, ride well and enjoy the day.

Hillingdon Cycle Circuit is in just off Springfield Road, near Minet Park in Hayes in West London. It is easily accessible from the M4 and M40. The circuit is located on the east side of the A312 Hayes Bypass at the A4020 Uxbridge Road roundabout, about one and a half miles north of M4 junction 3. If you are using a satnav, the post code is UB4 0L. Click here for a Google Map to find us.
The entrance to the main carpark is on Springfield Road off the A4020 Uxbridge Road, with the overflow parking slightly further down the road. There will be parking attendants directing you so do look out for them and ensure you park safely – check out the parking tab for a zoomed in view of the footpaths and how to find us once you have parked.
You will be parking either at the main car park where you see the big Goals sign, or at the overflow car park in the Minet Country Park next door. Parking attendants will be on hand to direct you. Be aware that height restriction barriers might be in place for early arrivals.
To help with evenflow of traffic, and to ensure there are not issues, please park responsibly and only within the marked bays – kindly ensure you have are inside the bays so as not to prevent another car from parking next to you.
PLEASE DO NOT park within the entrance gate or along the verges near the entrance as this blocks access for emergency vehicles and the Goals car park.
Hillingdon Council and Goals do not allow parking overnight in either car park. Larger vehicles and motor homes should park along Springfield Road.
The circuit facilities will be open from 8am on Saturday, with access to toilets and changing facilities. Do ensure you allow sufficient time to park, register and warm-up – you should be at the start line, ready to go at least 1o minutes before your race is due to start. Once you have parked safely, make your way along the path up towards the main clubhouse.
Gear Checks: These need to take place before you may sign on. If you are unsure about the gear restrictions, do refer to the programme, or visit our Rider Resources section for more information. You will need to produce your valid BC racing licence. As this is a National event racing licence rules will be strictly adhered to. NO LICENCE – NO RIDE.
Sign-On: This will be inside the Clubhouse, and you will need to ensure you have signed on 45 minutes before your race (30 minutes if you are U8/ U10). You will need to produce your valid BC racing licence in order to sign on, which will be kept in the sign-on room for the Commissaires reference if required. This can be collected after your race.
Numbers: You will be provided with one number for your race – you may keep this number and do not need to return it to us. It is important that you position your number as shown in your programme so the judges and cameras can correctly record your number. Racing will take place clockwise around the circuit for all races.
Warming Up: There is hard standing both near the Clubhouse and at the start for using turbo trainers and rollers. Please do not block the walkways or access to the clubhouse or track when using turbo trainers or rollers. There will be no opportunity to warm up on the circuit between races.
There will be a prize fund in excess of £2000 – yes, you heard us! There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies and cash prizes for both boys AND girls in ALL age categories. In some categories, cash prizes will be awarded up to 5th and / or 6th place. There will also be Prime lap prizes for all age groups!
Results will go up on the board in the main clubhouse not too long after each race, and prize winners will be called to the podium to receive their medals/ trophies and cash prizes. Presentations will be done directly in front of the Clubhouse, so do listen out for announcements. If you are a prize-winner, do stick around for this please – riders not present at the podium will be deemed to have donated their winnings back to Hillingdon Slipstreamers.
