The Cyclo-Cross (CX) season has started, and we are very pleased to announce that CX coaching will be running during our regular Saturday sessions over the coming months. To help you practice and improve your skills Coach Duncan will be running these sessions during the Autumn for new and experienced cyclo-cross riders where you will learn CX specific skills such how to start a race, cornering, dismounting, running with your bike, carrying a bike, running over an object and so on.
The first session will be on the 10th September 2016, so for those of you who are not attending the off-site MTB session at Lotts Wood on that day, you are very welcome to try a different kind of off-road! You do not need a CX bike to join in, and a mountain bike is perfectly suitable. Flat pedals will be fine, but if you prefer to wear clip-ins make sure you are using MTB style cleats as these are generally easier to get in and out of than road racing style cleats.
Finally, there may not be a CX session every week so do keep an eye out on Twitter for any updates, or feel free to email Coach Duncan directly on duncan@duncanadamson.com if you have any queries or need more information. You will also find a lot more information on CX here on the BC website.
