It’s almost time for the track coaching session at Lee Valley, and for those of you who have booked and received confirmation (either verbally or via email) of your place by Asti, please take note of the following:
Signing On
- This will start around 9.15am at the venue – if you arrive early, you will find the admin team outside the venue cafe (Café 42 Degrees).
- If you are hiring equipment, we would suggest you do this as soon as you arrive, then make your way to sign on.
- We only have 2 hours of track time from 10am to 12pm – this means timing will be tight. Please ensure you are signed on, equipment sorted, and ready to go by around 9.45am to ensure we waste no time.
- If you are late, you may miss out and the Track Coaches reserve the right to refuse you track time – please be on time.
- For those of you who have booked and not yet paid for the session, please bring £10 with you to sign on.
- And once more: this is not a turn up and ride session – if you haven’t booked a place with the Admin team and received confirmation of your place, you are not able to ride. Please don’t assume you are included – if in doubt, just ask!
Code of Conduct
- The Track Coaches have the session planned out, details of which will be shared after sign on. Everyone will get track time and we expect all riders to pay attention to the Coaches during the session.
- As a reminder, this is a Club Session and all Members taking part are representing Slipstreamers – please read the Rider Code of Conduct to ensure you know what is expected of you.
- Parents/ Guardians of riders are very welcome to stay and watch as usual, however we would also remind you that this is a Club Session and as such the relevant Parent/ Guardian Code of Conduct applies. We appreciate your support in letting the Coaches get on with the business of coaching, and not interfering in this process.
- Please kindly also ensure you have read the Lee Valley terms and conditions before you leave home – click here to view.
Equipment Hire & Other Important Information
- If you have your own bike, do bring this along. Remember that riders aged 10 and 11 years will need their own track bike to take part – if in doubt, please call the venue. Click here for further details on bikes and equipment allowed on the track. Any bikes or kit deemed not acceptable will not be allowed on the track by the Coaches.
- For those of you hiring a bike, there will be plenty to go around. Helmets and shoes are also available to hire. Click this link here for prices and further details about equipment hire.
- Parking is VERY limited at the venue, so either make sure you arrive early if you are driving or make your way using public transport. To plan your visit click this link here
And finally…
- Remember to have fun and enjoy yourselves!
- As usual, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact the Admin team.
