We’ve previously written about a study that Brunel University are currently running on bicycle fit for children. Click here to read more about this.
Brunel are now looking for another 15 participants who are 8 years and under, with an inside leg length less than 65cm and who are roughly <1.35m height. They will need to be regularly riding and training on a road or track bike, so perfect for many of our U8/ U6 Slipstreamers!
Indeed, a number of our Slipstreamers have already taken part, and can confirm the session is incredibly insightful and useful. Here is some feedback from a parent:
“I just wanted to report that my kids went for this bike fit session last week. It took about 90 minutes to do both of them – everything was measured and we were sent the attached report. They both said it was interesting and scientific. One of them in particular had been struggling with a sore back from riding so I am hoping that the new set up will help with this. They are still looking for volunteers and I would recommend it to any other Slipstreamer to go along – for their own benefit and also the research will help in future design of kids bikes. Frog have already used research from this group to help in the design of their range of kids bikes.”
