As part of the Slipstreamers 2015 Spring/Summer training and racing programme, the fourth and final of our training workshops is this coming Monday 23rd March. The cost per session will be £4. This is very interactive session and practical session looking at tips to improve your preparation and planning to remove uncertainties and stress from your events.
For this event, Mark Doel, our regional events coordinator from British Cycling will be leading this session.
Start Time:
The Clubhouse will be open from 18:45 for signing on, with the workshop starting promptly at 19:00.
Classroom Activities:
The workshop will be in the classroom – bring along your kit bags as prepared for an event. You can compare this to Mark’s advice and make notes of how to change your thinking. This should take around 40 minutes.
Turbo Session
This week’s turbo session is one of the session’s prepared by Prime Coaching and known as “The Kitchen Sink”. It contains just about everything except the kitchen sink! Ralph will be delivering this session, and as always will welcome feedback on how your sessions compared to ours.
Finish Time:
We expect to finish around 20:40-20:45.
What To Bring Along/ Prepare:
As a minimum, you will require your bike, your turbo, a towel, and a drink. You should also consider a dry change of clothes. You may also want to use the training checklist here as an aide mémoire to help you prepare.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Places are limited and must be registered via the usual signon@ email address, or at the sign-on desk on Saturday. The workshop is limited to ages 10 and upwards because of the focus on classroom work. Bring your own turbo trainer, but spares are available – let us know if you wish to borrow one. You do not need to have attended the previous sessions to join in!
