Entry to this year’s European Youth Tour in Assen opens on Monday February 2nd. This year we are looking to build on the success that the Slipstreamers’ riders made last year. This year’s event is from Monday 27th July until Saturday 1st August. However, most of us will travel on Saturday 25th July until Sunday 2nd August.
The registration process is in 2 parts – one for each rider, and then a separate one for the campsite. The link to the web site is here. Remember to click on the Union flag to get the English translation.
The Dutch rider categories are different to UK categories. The following is a guide to some of the categories:
- Aspiranten – Under 10’s new to racing
- CAT I – Boys born 2007/Girls born 2006 and 2007
- CAT II – Boys born 2006/Girls born 2005
- CAT III – Boys born 2005/Girls born 2004
- CAT IV – Boys born 2004/Girls born 2003
- CAT V – Boys born 2003/Girls born 2002
- CAT VI – Boys born 2002/Girls born 2001
- CAT VII – Boys born in 2001
- Nieuwelingen (U17) – Boys born in 2000 and 1999
- Nieuwelingen-meisjes (U17) – Girls born in 2000 and 1999
- Juniors (U19) – Boys born in 1998 and 1997
- Junior-Girls (U19) – Girls born in 1998 and 1997

Last year, some categories were fully booked within the first week – so please try and register early. Money does not have to be paid immediately, so please register if you are planning to attend.
