Slipstreamers in action at Saddleback Hill, Gorrick MTB Round 1
Round 1 of the eagerly anticipated Gorrick Saddle Skeddadle Spring Series kicked off the 2015 season for most of us at Saddleback Hill, not too far from Swinley Forest, on Sunday the 18th January. The venue itself is a new one for Gorrick and did not feature in the 2014 Spring or Autumn series’, but either way proved to be highly enjoyable for all the riders.
On arrival at Saddleback, drivers were faced with some deep muddy holes driving up to the parking – but on arrival at race registration thankfully not a single one was in sight and all looked nice and clear for our riders. The sight of so many Slipstreamers at the start line was a very welcome one, and it was fantastic to hear everyone shouting and lending their voices to cheer on fellow members!
Well done to Slipstreamers Cameron Still, Ben Bisson, Alex Uphill, Ben Coppola, Oisin Murphy, George Fowkes, Archie Fowkes, Nathan George and Seth Kanaris for the boys; and Lucy Allsop for the girls – excellent results all round!
