Enjoy the following fantastic report by Isabella, who raced in the U12 category:
On Sunday I took part in the London League Cyclocross race in Lewis. It was pouring with rain and the course was really muddy and waterlogged. Parts of it was like riding through a river! Not long after the race started, I was cut up by someone but luckily stayed on and managed to ride through the other riders to take the lead. I forgot how bad the weather was and just focused on riding as fast as I could in the horrendous conditions. Gradually I was able to open an even bigger lead and win the race.
I was so pleased that despite the terrible challenging conditions, I was able to win the race, beating all the boys too! I would definitely recommend Cyclocross to anyone who doesn’t mind getting muddy.”
