BC MTB Holiday Fun at Black Park and Swinley Forest, 29-30th October
Black Park It was a good experience to learn and develop my skills in mountain biking. It was fun and exciting to do stuff I hadn’t done before. It was raining, cold and muddy and it took a bit of time to get used to it, but once you did you were fine. Some bits of the course were bumpy and other bits were technical. There were 8 kids in my group and three of them were Slipstreamers (Alex, Seth and Lucy).Swinley Forest Was an awesome day out! There were jumps, berms (which is like the velodrome going round the corners really fast) – you will never get bored as there is so much to do. As well as the Slipstreamers from yesterday, Gabrielle, and a few from Palmer Park also joined in. We took lunch in backpacks and had lunch on the trails. I learnt to go slowly and to use my technical skills a lot!! I did the best fall by losing my back wheel on tree roots and landing on my side! If you not been to the Lookout you MUST go on the next club ride on the 16th November! Report By Oliver Emment |
