This week (18th October) sees the next round of the Club Champs, road racing, taking place. It promises to be a busy exciting morning, especially as we are also holding our very first cyclo-cross coaching session for those who don’t want to race, or who want to try it out whilst waiting for their race. The race schedule is fixed, and riders will need to ensure enough time for warm-up, gear checking and getting to the start line on time. Please read below very carefully to make sure you know when you are racing, and how much time you have to get organised.
Call for Volunteers
We could do with a few volunteers to help with judging and number spotting. We also need a flag waver and bell ringer. Please let us know via reply to this email, or first thing Saturday, if you are able to help.
Recent/ New Club Members: ALL paid up members are allowed to take part in Club Champs – even if you’ve only been with us for a few weeks. If you are very new to the Club and want to race, bring your membership form and payment to Asti at signon as early as possible please. You do not need to have passed your Bronze to race on Saturday.

Each bike will be stickered once checked – if there is no sticker on your bike, you will not be allowed to race. No exceptions. If you need a guide to gears, do come and ask us at the sign-on desk for an information sheet.

- There will be no normal development sessions on the apron.
- There will be a MTB session if you don’t wish to race, or if you wish to join before/ after your race.
- The first Cyclo-cross coaching sessions will be taking place at the back of the clubhouse. You may want to bring a MTB or CX bike to take part. Read last week’s issue to remind you of what will be happening during the Slipstreamers CX sessions.
